Baking butterflies!

Over the last couple of weeks we have beeen learning about a Butterfly's life cycle and discussing how its the same/ different compared to our birds and to us.

We've enjoyed the story of The Hungry Caterpillar and have all written some great book reviews!

To end our topic today we baked some very yummy Butterfly cakes!

    Don't panic Alex we didn't eat real butterflies! We cut the top of our cake off and sliced it into 2. we put butter cream on the cake and then our 2 top pieces and they look like 'wings' that's why these cakes are called 'Butterfly cakes!'
