We've been around the world!!!

This week is Arts week at Greenfields school and we are looking at art from around the world!  We have made some Chinese tangram puzzles and Plum Blossom blow paintings,

Some aboriginal dot art, Native american Totem Poles and masks and some African cave and art and wall hangings!

This afternoon Paul Cotterill from Little Ninjas came in to show and teach us some Martial arts! We were all fab Ninja's and have made Ninja promises not to use the moves on anybody!

We're very proud of our work which will be displayed ready for open evening!

Watch out there's a Virus about!!!

Today we arrived at school to find a mystery barrel on the top playground! It was oozing with a green gooey substance.
Mr Morris called an emergency assembly! We weren't allowed near the barrel the mixture inside was causing people to become poorly with a strange virus...Feeder Lings Virus!!!

We had to all have our shoes sprayed so we didn't spread the virus and some children near the site had to wear face masks!

Willow Class decided that we could be smart scientists and make a 'Marvellous Medicine' which would cure the virus. We wrote lists of all the different things we could gather from our craft cupboard and outdoors and went to work collecting batches of ingredients!

We all decided on 6 ingredients that we would mix to create our magic potion! We did a really good job of writing all the ingredients we wanted down so we knew what we needed to mix!

We wrote some instructions to tell people how to use our medicines!
In the afternoon we came up with some 'eye catching' names for our medicines.
One of Mrs Quinn-Lock's favourites was 'Greeny Meany Genie Potion'!
